Especially if you have a strong interest in holistic health.

The gut and brain relationship and the Dr Sten Ekberg diet:

Dr Sten Ekberg believes that there is a strong relationship between the human brain and gut. It is his belief that a healthy brain naturally promotes a healthy, well functioning digestive system.

The influence of the gut and brain relationship in individuals with special needs:

Dr Ekberg is fascinated with how the brain and gut can impact individuals who have special needs. As an example, Ekberg’s research promotes the idea that if individuals with special needs eat a healthy, nutritious diet which promotes gut health, that they may be able to improve their brain function. Without having to take prescribed drugs. In fact, Ekberg believes that the medical industry relies far too much on treating medical symptoms with addictive drugs, instead of treating the root cause of issues. Which can normally be treated with natural, safe, holistic treatments.

How to improve brain function and gut health:

Dr Ekberg teaches his followers and patients that they can easily improve their brain function and holistically heal their gut health by changing their diets. To start with his recommends that individuals eliminate foods which has inflammatory properties or toxins such as processed grains and sweets. Instead, Ekberg recommends that his followers and patients eat healthy, nutritious whole foods such as fresh, locally produced produce. Dr Ekberg also approves of individuals growing their own chemical free vegetables in their gardens.

Ekberg warns against eating highly processed, modern foods.

Ekberg tells his followers that choosing nutritious foods is easy if a food type wasn’t eaten 10,000 years ago it shouldn’t be consumed now. As he believes that they can have an adverse effect on the brain and the gut and on individuals health as a whole.

He is not against the consumption of healthy fats:

Ekberg is not against the consumption of healthy fats. In fact, he puts forward the notion that as the human brain is comprised of 70% fats that it’s important to consume healthy fats. Such as omega 3 which can be found in freshly caught fish as well as in healthy supplements. So if you believe in his credentials and are keen to have a go at healing your gut and your brain, it’s well worth ensuring to add plenty of foods which are packed full of healthy fats to your diet. As well as consuming fresh produce such as a multitude of vegetables and fruits.

So if you’re interested in changing your diet and lifestyle in order to become healthier and to solve any health issues which you may have it’s a great idea to implement some of the gut brain relationship tips which are listed above.
