How to Play Roulette Online

admin · March 25, 2021 · Leave a Comment

Land-based casinos would not be the same without the reassuring sights and sounds of a ball rattling along a Roulette Wheel that is activated by human touch. It is one of the most welcoming of all the visuals that really tells you that you are having a live casino experience. However, with much of the casino world now available to the online community, many Roulette games have also made the successful transition over there.

Some forms of Roulette are computerised and each result is determined by an RNG, or Random Number Generator – check out the best roulette strategies today. If you prefer some human interaction, despite being online, then Roulette is also readily available in the Live Casino section of many gambling sites.

Roulette Variations

Roulette was invented by the French in 1655 and even back then, the game developed differing elements as it travelled around the globe. The zero number was not present on original Roulette Wheels and it wasn’t until the 19th century that this was added. When the game hit the United States, a double zero pocket was added. Both of these additions actually made it that much harder for punters to win. Roulette carried on developing and became part of the furniture at land-based casinos right up to the dawn of the digital age.

Online Gambling

In 1996 the very first online casino platform was introduced to the internet by Microgaming. This was more table games focused and included Roulette as part of the main table game set up. As online gambling developed, so did the game of Roulette. Now there are many different versions of it to play, such as Speed Roulette, European Roulette, American Roulette, French roulette, 101 Roulette and Quantum Roulette. When it comes to the online version, you can either play a computer-generated version of the game, or head over to the online Live Casino section where you can click on the Roulette game of your choice and interact with a Live Dealer courtesy of an HD video link that is beamed from a live TV studio.

Roulette Online Explained

To play Roulette online, you firstly need to join a reputable online casino that is licensed and regulated. Most of these are slots focused so you need to navigate away from the slots lobbies and click on the table games section instead. Here you will find various versions of Roulette to experience. Click on the game that takes your fancy and follow the betting instructions on the screen. If it is Live Roulette then you will be prompted when to bet and told when no more betting is allowed. Some computerised versions allow you to activate the spin yourself and this gives you more time to decide where you are going to place your chips.

Your bet value should be set before you move your chips into position and the bet value you choose is illustrated on each virtual chip. Roulette tables contain either 37 or 38 numbers and you can bet on more than one number at a time.
